Welcome to AmpacityReports (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website and services.

By purchasing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

AmpacityReports provides residential electrical load calculation reports prepared in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), primarily Article 220.

1. Description of Services

Our services:

• Are informational and calculation-based in nature
• Are delivered digitally in PDF format
• Are not engineering services unless explicitly stated
• Do not include on-site inspections
• Do not include permit filing or representation before any Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)

Unless specifically stated otherwise in writing, reports are not stamped by a licensed Professional Engineer (PE).

2. Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete project information
• Verify square footage, appliance ratings, HVAC specifications, service size, and other inputs
• Review the final report before submitting to your local building department

AmpacityReports is not responsible for errors, omissions, delays, or permit denials resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the client.

3. No Guarantee of Permit Approval

Building code enforcement varies by jurisdiction.

While calculations are prepared using NEC standards, we:

• Do not guarantee approval by your local AHJ
• Are not responsible for local code amendments
• Are not liable for rejections or additional requirements imposed by inspectors

It is the client’s responsibility to confirm local requirements before ordering.

4. Turnaround Time

Standard turnaround time is 24–48 hours after receipt of complete and accurate information.

Delays caused by missing, unclear, or revised information do not constitute breach of contract.

Expedited services, if offered, are subject to availability.

5. Fees and Payment

• All prices are listed in U.S. Dollars.
• Payment is required in full before work begins.
• Payments are processed securely via third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe).

We do not store full credit card information.

6. Refund Policy

Due to the digital and custom nature of the service:

• All sales are final once work has begun.
• No refunds will be issued after calculation preparation has started.
• Partial refunds may be issued at the sole discretion of AmpacityReports prior to work commencement.

Delivery is considered complete once the report has been transmitted electronically to the client.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

AmpacityReports’ total liability for any claim arising from use of our services shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service in question.

We are not liable for:

• Indirect damages
• Consequential damages
• Project delays
• Lost profits
• Inspection failures
• Contractor errors
• Installation defects

Use of our services is at your own risk.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including:

Each party shall bear its own legal fees unless otherwise determined by the arbitrator.

• Graphics
• Text
• Branding
• Logos

is the property of AmpacityReports.

Clients are granted a limited, non-transferable license to use the purchased report solely for the specific property listed in the document.

Redistribution, resale, duplication, or modification without written permission is prohibited.

9. Validity of Report

Load calculations are valid only for:

• The property address specified
• The equipment and load information provided

Any future changes (including EV chargers, HVAC upgrades, panel upgrades, additions, etc.) may require a new calculation.

10. No Professional Engineering Relationship

Unless explicitly stated, purchasing a report does not establish:

• An engineer-client relationship
• An ongoing consulting relationship
• Legal or construction advisory services

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or services provided shall be resolved through binding arbitration in the State of Illinois.

13. Modifications to Terms

AmpacityReports reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time.

Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
